Employee Relations

  • Disciplinary.
  • Grievance.
  • Investigations.
  • Bullying and harassment – As a manager, you need to be on the front foot when workplace conflict occurs between your team. If you don’t tackle this head on from the offset, it’s likely to escalate and become a bigger issue.
  • Settlement agreements – originally known as compromise agreements, these legally binding contracts came into effect on 29 July 2013. These agreements can be used to end an employment relationship on agreed terms. They prohibit an employee from bringing legal action against their employer on matters specifically covered in the agreement. Such agreements are voluntary as parties are under no obligation to agree them or enter into discussions about them.
  • Mediation – can be used instead of going down the formal grievance/disciplinary route. It can also be used after a grievance or disciplinary has taken place to rebuild working relationships. Organisations can benefit from mediation at any stage of a conflict although the earlier the better.
  • Holidays – support and guidance surround legal entitlements to basic holiday and bank holidays.
  • Sickness absence management – is an employer’s approach via policies, procedures or programs to reduce employee absenteeism, avoid workforce disruption and maximize employee productivity.
  • Employee disputes – This can range from two employees that don’t like each other to a dispute over holiday entitlement received, we can help you to deal with these issues quickly and effectively.

“I consulted with Rachel following a referral from a mutual contact, to seek guidance on a potential employee who was a foreign national on a sponsorship visa, of which I had no previous experience of. Following a brief meeting to discuss the situation and to provide Rachel with the full facts she said she would come back to me in a few days. The following day, Rachel provided me with full details of what I needed to do and offered further support if I needed it. Excellent service and I would definitely not hesitate to recommend Rachel to anyone.”

Rachel’s key talent is that she is a natural empathic communicator. Equally experienced and comfortable in difficult discussions with (occasionally angry, scared or stressed) employees as she is comprehensively explaining strategy and results with C-suite executives.

Rachel’s other key strengths which make her an asset to any company include knowledge of the HR field, approachability (my door is always open/ call me anytime attitude), talent (particularly with dealing with people), drive (to achieve the targeted result) and of course given the nature of HR her unwavering professionalism.
